Could I possibly be more excited to share this blog? Nope, not possible. I am excited, elated, over-the-moon, overwhelmed, and all of those other happy emotions! SO CHIC IS IN BRIDE'S MAGAZINE! That's right - the mother-ship of bridal...the magazine I've drooled over for the past ten years and do cartwheells in my driveway when I receive my monthly edition....and I am in it!!!

I was interviewed a few months ago regardings trends in midwest weddings...and they used my content as a part of their feature! How amazing is that?!? I was excited just to have been interviewed but I'm even more excited that they printed what I shared!

So, when you get your March edition (or when it hits newstands in a few days) - flip to page 363 and read all about the trends in the midwest. Then look at "Sources" and you'll see our name and information. Okay, so it's just 2 little lines with my name and website - but it's a HUUUUGE deal to make it in Bride's. I've wanted to take my business to this level - and it's starting to happen. I can't say more than that because I don't want to give away any future surprises....but we're moving up, baby!!

Yesterday, we had the privilege of participating in Behind Every Bride's first ever "Toast, Taste, and Tour" event! It was held at three of Peoria's most unique venues - Packard Plaza, Cornerstone Building, and Hotel Pere Marquette. It was a traveling bridal show of sorts - not the typical trade show atmosphere that most bridal shows have. This was intimate, unique, and wonderful from every angle.

A special congratulations to Jill Mutka who won a $100 gift card to So Chic Events. We're looking forward to the opportunity of working with Jill!

We promise that we won't neglect the blog like we have the past few weeks!

Is anyone else so excited that the days are getting warmer and sunnier? Spring is almost here...which means wedding season is quickly approaching. Thank goodness - I'm missing wedding days!

05/10: Eeeeeek!

It's probably a very good thing that blogs don't have sound because otherwise all you'd be hearing right now is "Eeeek!" And "Ahhhhh" and then you'd hear me stomping around doing my happy dance. I might even throw a bad word or two in there - sometimes I have the mouth of a sailor when I get really excited. One of my weird quirks.

Well, since I'm saving you my weird dances and words - I'll just tell you why I'm so excited (if you haven't already seen my excitement on Facebook!) I'm doing my happy dance because I appeared in the June edition of Bride's Magazine. Page 218 to be exact. A beautiful half page detailing a wedding design that I submitted a few months ago. I fell out of my chair back in January when I got a call asking me to submit some ideas for a wedding under $10,000. Then they said, "we'd like for you to design something on a college campus - this is one of the harder ones." I laughed and said "Hard? No problem - I work on a college campus but you probably know that." She laughed and said, "No, I didn't know that." I guess in all of my excitement, I just stupidly assumed that the person on the other end of the phone knew my whole life and knew that I worked on a college campus. I do look at Bride's magazine as the "God" of bridal but I suppose I shouldn't have assumed they knew my life!

I feverishly wrote up ideas and sent them off. I thought they might be too crazy or over the top - but, when they asked some follow-up questions, I thought maybe I had at least one thing they liked. Then they fact checked it so I thought they must be using at least a word or two of what I sent and I was MORE than satisfied at that prospect. Hello? It's Bride's Magazine. I feel privileged just to have it grace my mailbox every month...if they used even a syllable that I sent them - I would feel like I had "arrived."

Well, they used more than a syllable and I was doing my happy dance last week when I opened the magazine. I feel like I could retire now and feel accomplished. Don't worry - I'm not retiring - I've got a lot more wedding bliss in me - but this pretty much made my day. My year. Okay, so far a highlight of my career. Just typing about how happy I am makes me want to say "EEEEEEEK."

Thanks for being a part of my bliss. (And, in case you're wondering, the June edition is now on newstands! Trust me, my mom and aunts have already bought out all of Peoria. In fact, I think I should tell Bride's they might consider throwing my name somewhere in each edition - heck, hide it somewhere - I'm pretty sure it would boost their sales because my family would single-handedly buy out at least 4 states worth!)

Well, after almost 14 months of working together - tomorrow is Maria and Jason's big day! Maria and Jason are such a sweet, loving couple and I can't wait to be a part of their big day. Their ceremony is at Northminster with a reception to follow at the always elegant Mt. Hawley Country Club. Instead of a traditional plated meal or buffet - they're doing various food stations which will definitely make for a unique dining experience. We've got a signature cocktail planned, access to the beautiful terrace and here's hoping the "isolated thunderstorms" they're calling for disappear from the forecast.

Jason and his family are from Kentucky - so we've also infused a little Kentucky flavor into the day...as well as a few little surprises!

One of my favorite things is their fabulous rehearsal dinner tonight...aboard the Spirit of Peoria! Jason really wanted to do something special and memorable so he convinced the Spirit to cancel their dinner show so that they could rent out the entire boat to take nearly 100 guests out on a cruise! Talk about memorable!

They're also having one of my favorite things...a candy buffet! Blue, green and yellow is the color scheme of the weekend - complete with Jason's favorite candy "Lemonheads & Friends." I had never heard of these things until I ordered them for the buffet and, I have to say, they're pretty good! They're pretty sour so you can't eat very many - but I'm sure the guests will get a kick out of having some of Jason's favorite treats! We have 240 mini boxes so, here's hoping they like them! I also just finished making 10 pounds of blue and white chocolate covered pretzels for the buffet. Even with all of the willpower I have, it's not a good idea to make those when you've been on a strict diet! Soooo good! (In case you were wondering - 10 pounds of chocolate covered pretzels equals about 800 individual pretzels!)

I am also so excited, and a little nervous, to work with the fabulous Jeffrey & Julia Woods! These two wonderful photographers are incredible and I've followed their work for a long time now - and I feel honored (and a little intimidated) to get to work with them tomorrow. Check out their work - and the fact that they are featured in Bride's and Chicago Bride's magazine! http://www.jeffreyandjuliawoods.com/

Enough blogging for now - I'm off to pack up all the supplies for the big weekend. Check back on Sunday or Monday for a full wedding update!

Oh, and in case you were curious about the Lemonheads and Friends.....

Whew! What a day! It was long and tiring....but it was AMAZING!!!!

The bridal show was smashing and we had the opportunity to meet a ton of beautiful, wonderful brides! We were chatting it up all day and we (my 3 event assistants/interns and myself) all have scratchy throats from all the chatting we did! Luckily, it was worth it and we all had an amazing day and look forward to connecting with all of the brides we met. We can't wait to be a part of your big day!

Below are a few pictures of our booth! Everything was a hit - especially our silver tree! (This one is affectionately named "Teenie"). I have a feeling that they're going to make a huge impact at a lot of upcoming events!

One of my beautiful brides, Jaime, who got married in January of 2009 has started her own business! Yay! As a business owner myself - I know how amazing (and sometimes terrifying) the journey can be but I'm so proud of her for taking the plunge. Jaime has opened her own gym and personal training business here in Morton. It's called "Just Fitness" and she specializes in abs, weight loss, and nutrition. She offers personal training and classes.

If you want to get in shape, lose a bit of weight, or just be more active - give Jaime a call at 838.8111 or e-mail her at justfitness8@yahoo.com. She'll take good care of you and you'll look and feel gorgeous! And you don't have to just be getting married to get in shape or feel better.

Now, all of my brides are BEAUTIFUL but Jaime was in the most amazing shape I've ever seen any bride. She totally rocked her wedding gown and I've never seen such defined arms holding a bouquet. Here's one of her beautiful wedding pictures from Bruer Photography! (It doesn't do her justice at all - I just really wanted to share one of my favorite pictures!) :)

Yesterday was another amazing day for So Chic - personally and professionally. As I blogged about a few days ago, I (along with my fabulous team) had the privilege of being a part of Annie and Ryan's wedding day. As cheesy as it sounds, the day's heat matched the warmth felt in everyone's hearts as Annie and Ryan tied the knot.

I thought I'd put together a Top 10 List of my favorite moments of the day. They're all great - so they're in no particular order. Be sure to scroll down to the next post to see some of the pictures!

1. Thank You - After I "foofed" Annie's dress before walking down the aisle, I moved to the side so I'd be out of the line of pictures (there's nothing worse than seeing the coordinator crouched behind the bride's dress - totally ruins the pictures!). I had moved to the side and watched Annie get ready for the doors to open and her big walk. Right before the doors open - Annie looked right at me and mouthed the words, "Thank you." I'm not kidding - my heart melted and tears immediately welled up in my eyes. It was so sweet, sincere, and touching. It's the best thank you I've ever gotten!
2. A Focused Best Man - The Best Man (the groom's brother) was definitely on his game - complete with "foofing" Annie's dress throughout the entire ceremony. I don't know if it was the fact that his beautiful wife was the Matron of Honor and is pregnant so he was trying to help make it easier or her...or it if was because the church coordinator over-emphasized the fact that "it's about Annie - take care of her dress" or a combination of both...but he did a great job! :)
3. Amazing Music! Annie went to Bradley and was part of Bradley Chorale...so there were quite a few chorale members as guests. As Annie and Ryan lit the unity candle, about 16 of them assembled and sang an amazing song - it was one of the most breathtaking things I've ever heard at a ceremony! There was also a duet of "The Prayer" one of my favorite songs - Kristin and Chris did an incredible job with that!
4. A Surprise Ring - When time came for the rings, the Best Man pretended to have lost it and searched through his pockets and what he found was...a ring pop! He took that out and gave it to the groom! Of course everyone giggled and then he found the proper ring! Such a jokester!
5. First Kiss - I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was the sweetest first kiss I've ever witnessed. I think that a first kiss can say a lot about a couple - and theirs was so tender and loving - Ryan put his hand up on Annie's face and it was adorable! I can't wait to see those pictures because it was so flippin' cute!
6. The Lost Art of the "Getaway" Car - Because most bridal parties have limos or trolleys, the art of decorating the "getaway" car has gotten away from us...but not with Annie and Ryan! The bridal party (especially the Matron of Honor, Jodi) decorated the car and got it looking fabulous for their big exit. I wish more people did this!
7. Lucky In Love - At the reception, before Annie and Ryan's first dance to "Unforgettable" - they sang Jason Mraz's "Lucky In Love" to each other. They had considered it to be their first dance but then decided they wanted to share it through music with each other and their guests. Annie and Ryan are both very musical and have amazing voices - and, I have to say, everyone was "awww"ing!
8. Exit Song - Before Annie and Ryan left the reception - they played one last song and invited everyone up to dance to it. The song? "Let's Get It On!" Hysterical!
9. A Fabulous Bridal Party - Hands down, this bridal party was totally, completely focused on Annie and Ryan and you could see their love and support in everything they did. ....especially when all 7 bridesmaids gave personal toasts!
10. The Way They Looked at Each Other - One of my favorite parts of my job (besides 'foofing' the bride's dress) is watching the bride and groom interact with each other....and Annie and Ryan are so sweet and tender with each other (as demonstrated by their first kiss!) Just watching them all night take everything in was such a blessing.
Those are my Top 10 Moments! I could have kept going but I've gone on long enough. Congrats Annie & Ryan! Have an incredible honeymoon and thank you so, so, so much for letting me be a part of this day! Love you guys!

Gosh - I'm so excited about so many things I don't even know where to start! I have more details and information on each of these - but, for now, I'll share 3 exciting pieces of news and I'll post more details about each in the coming days!

1. Kudos - So Chic was selected as a 2010 Bride's Choice Award Winner from Wedding Wire. This award recognizes the top 5 percent of local wedding professionals from the WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellence in quality, service and professionalism. We just received the news yesterday and we're so excited! Thanks to all of our 2009 brides who offered their fabulous feedback and made the recognition possible. We love you all!

2. Super Proposal - We're so excited to announce that So Chic is a part of the Super Proposal promotion. The winning couple from the promotion will receive our So Chic - Full Service Planning package - a value of $3000! This is the first time we've ever given this package away! The winning proposal will be aired 30 second prior to kick-off of the SuperBowl. Check out the Super Proposal website for more details!

3. Q&A with So Chic - one of our very favorite people and photographers - Deidre from Deidre Lynn Photography - featured a Q&A with So Chic on her blog today. We wrote it up based on many of the questions we get from our brides during their initial consultations...and we included some additional thoughts that we can't always say during an in-person consultation - for fear of sounding cheesy! :) Thanks for the feature, Deidre!

That's all for now - more to come soon - but that's all the excitement my little heart can take for one day!

I've been meaning to post this for awhile now but, somehow, I keep forgetting! Luckily, thanks to a reminder I received last week from the fabulous Deb Kates Photography - it finally jogged my memory that I needed to blog about it!

The Knot featured Mike and Susan - our July 31st couple - as one of "The Real Weddings" that The Knot is known for! They did a great little photo gallery showcasing the amazing details of the nautical-inspired wedding that took place down in Chatham.

Be sure to click here to see the feature actually on The Knot - but also check our Gallery page as it was just updated and includes more pictures from Mike & Susan's special day...as well as many of our other couples from the past few months.

Also, in case you missed our blog post with great news last week - So Chic was featured in Bride's Magazine! We're still so excited! :)

Yesterday was a gorgeous day for a wedding! Jaime and Jesse were married out in Minier with the reception downtown at the Gateway. I met Jaime when I was setting up a wedding for another one of my bride's in October. She booked me pretty much on the spot and we had exactly 3 1/2 months to plan for her big day. They were supposed to get married in May of this year but, with her brother being deployed, they bumped it up so he could be there.

Not only was the weather beautiful, but so was the bridal party and, especially, the bride! All brides are beautiful on their big day but Jaime was just radiant. She was so happy and she was truly glowing. She and Jesse were so happy to be together and it was so obvious that they have wonderful friends and family around them to support their marriage. Her two ushers (her uncle and a surrogate uncle) were hysterical! They decided that they were going to do their own version of "Girls Gone Wild" and make a video called "Ushers Gone Wild." And wild, they were! They both came and grabbed my assistants and me no less than 5 times to join them on the dance floor! They were a hoot! Bonding with the family and friends of the bridal party is one of my favorite parts of the wedding weekend!

The color palette was fuchsia and deep purple....and, it was stunning! The room truly had the wow factor as guests came in. With gorgeous linens from I Do Events, centerpieces from Create a Scene, and a candy buffet - the day was flawless from beginning to end!

I truly enjoyed working with Jaime and her mom, Mary. They both said over and over again that the day was "perfect" and "better than anything they imagined." That's what makes my job so great - appreciative families! And fun ushers! :)

Enjoy a few pictures from the day. I'll upload the gallery from Bruer Photography, when they're ready. Get excited!

A not so great shot from the ceremony, but you get the idea. That's Josh from Bruer Photgraphy hard at work in the foreground:

As always, thanks to my three wonderful event assistants! They worked hard to help make the day a success!

08/24: Camera Shy

Category: General
Posted by: sochic
I will freely admit, I'm a little bit on the camera shy side. While I LOVED getting my wedding pictures done (and senior pics, a few years back), there haven't been very many other times in my life where I've gotten my picture taken, willingly. I don't necessarily avoid the camera - it's just not my favorite thing in the world.

I'm sure I've mentioned this notion of "Trash the Dress" pictures on here quite a few times and I'm excited to blog about them a bit more (and a bit more personally!) I am an avid follower of anything "Trash the Dress" related - where brides put their dresses back on and go do a photo shoot that represents them more than the traditional wedding photography with the veil, white shoes, etc. TTD is the bride's opportunity to showcase her personality, wear something more creative or unique, or wear her hair differently than normal. While some brides take these liberties on their wedding day (more power to them), some of us go the more traditional route on wedding day but then wish we'd done something more fun. That's where I'm at, which is why I live vicariously through the beautiful women out there who are brave and do TTD shoots.

One of my sorority sisters and friend of mine, Melissa McClure, is a photographer out in San Diego and I am a loyal blog-follower of hers. She's done quite a few TTD sessions in the last year and I'm always commenting on how much I love them...so, when she said she was coming to Peoria and wanted to do a shoot with me - I was excited (and nervous!) I was mainly nervous because, in the grand scheme of things, I'm a pretty boring gal....but she assured me it was more about having fun and rocking the dress than it was anything else...so I gave in!

So, a few weeks back - we wandered around downtown P-town and then to a construction yard (I really wanted images with equipment because my husband works construction!) Mel has posted them on her blog and I couldn't be more excited. I've included a few below but be sure to visit her blog to see more!

Oh, and you might want to consider hiring her for your wedding photography - she's happy to travel back to town and she's INCREDIBLE to work with! I would have never been so comfortable doing this shoot, if it weren't for her. Thanks Mel!!!!

04/27: Client Love

Category: General
Posted by: sochic
Alright, here's the thing...I'm a bit of a Facebook Fanatic! Not everyone would know this about me but I'm slightly addicted. I don't really update my own status all the time (it's kind of sporadic really) but, when I need a break from whatever I'm doing, I totally go on and look around. Well, the other day, Facebook got messed up but it worked in my favor because I ran across a little gem that I never would have found.

I was actually searching for my So Chic FB page so I typed it into the search box. It usually just goes right to my page but, for whatever reason, the FB Gods were unhappy to it didn't find my page - it just found any recent mentionings of the phrase "so chic." Well, to my surprise, one of my clients had mentioned So Chic in a recent photo caption and I didn't even know. I obviously go straight to her page to see what it's about and I squealed with delight and excitement to find that my meeting with her and her fiance made it to her "Project Life" photo album.

Project Life, from what I gather, is all about Stefanie (my bride) taking at least one picture each day to commemorate what she did that day. Well, one of the posts was from her first meeting with me and I was so excited. I was so intrigued by this Project Life thing that I went through the photo album and have found 3 posts so far and I HAD to share them! I feel so loved! :)

Of course, I asked her permission before I shared these. Thanks Stefanie and Derek - can't wait to work with you both for your December 18th wedding!

January 10th: Wedding of a Lifetime Bridal Show 2010 @ the Peoria Civic Center! Mom, Stacy and I went to get ideas, take pictures, get flyers, sign up to win things and bond. I can finally say I am getting married this year!!! OH and Tami's reception was featured at the show. They had left the Packard decorated so I was able to show my mom and sis. (Notice the cute little magazine in her hands!) :)

February 12th: No School! Happy Birthday Abe Lincoln! I spent today in Wedding Land. I tried to find my bridesmaid dresses at Country Bride and David's Bridal. I struck out at David's Bridal and Country Bride's price tag was a bit too high. So despite House of Brides being a mess, that is where we will probably get them but I need to call on verify their in store price vs. their online price. Then I emailed a wedding planner Derek went to high school with to get her prices!

null

March 8th: Today Derek and I met Sara from So Chic Events @ Starbucks. She is a wedding planner and we met with her to see if that was something for us. We LOVED her and hope we can crunch enough numbers to book her.

Okay - that's all for now. I just loved everything about this and had to share!

07/22: Catching Up!

Category: General
Posted by: sochic
Whew - we have some catching up to do! I still haven't blogged about Maria & Jason's beautiful wedding on July 11th - I have yet to talk about the fabulous wedidng we have this weekend - and I have a little shout-out for our most recently booked brides! Brace yourselves...

First off, Maria & Jason's wedding on July 11th was beautiful. The weather could not have been more amazing - the bride and groom could not have been more in love - and the day could not have been more perfect. Everything ran on time - down to the minute (literally!) Mt. Hawley was beautiful with the sunlight streaming in and the gorgeous florals from Scottwood Floral in Eureka. I absolutely fell in love with their work and will definitely be recommending them in the future. Scott is the mother of the bride's cousin - and what a great cousin to have - especially when wedding planning! They created simple yet stunning arranagements and really kept with the traditional, almost Victorian style of this wedding. Also, as a bonus, we got to work with the fabulous Jeff & Julia Woods - I seriously can't wait to see the images they captured! My favorite part of the wedding day had to be the beautiful ceremony they had - complete with one of their friends, a who is a pastor in Scotland reading a Scottish Blessing. Then, his wife, who is Irish, read an Irish Blessing. Between their accents and the beautiful blessings - I definitely found myself tearing up and I know I wasn't the only one!

This weekend we've got a HUGE wedding down in Springfield for Susan & Mike. Actually, the groom rarely goes by Mike - he usually goes by Willey. He and my husband have been best friends since they were freshmen in college and we are so excited (and slightly surprised) that his wedding day is only hours away! He is marrying the beautiful, Susan - they both met while at Bradley but didn't fall in love until after graduation while living up in Chicago. They have a wonderful life up there with lots of toys - their favorite one being their boat. Heck - for their honeymoon - they've chartered a boat that they, personally, will be sailing around in the Caribbean. Does it get much cooler than that?!?!? How private and intimate for a honeymoon!

Their boat was actually an inspiration for their nautical-themed wedding this weekend - my team and I have a lot of work to do to transform the Firefighter's Postal Club into a wonderful and unique wedding venue but I am confident it's going to be a blast for everyone involved. The bride and groom even have some fun surprises in store for each other and for their guests. Stay tuned for the full wedding recap!

Finally - welcome to our new brides that we've talked to and/or booked in the past week. I have enjoyed working with you all and look forward to working with you to create your beautiful and special days - Heather, Jen, Kate, Stefanie, Andrea and Theresa. Clearly - So Chic has been very, very busy lately - but we're so excited for all of the wonderful couples we get to work with!

Here are some pictures from Maria & Jason's big day - enjoy!

Those are the words one of my assistants uttered this weekend as I went sailing up in a hot air balloon to over 3,000 feet.

This weekend, So Chic had the pleasure of traveling down to Quincy to work with the Whipple and Daggett families for Devin and Eric's big wedding day! We met the Whipples after the Miener/Philippi wedding in August. I cannot express in words how happy I am that one Mama Jacqui told another Mama Jackie to call us! These two weddings have been a true blessing and as I told both of them - "if everyone in Galesburg is as wonderful as they are - send us every engaged couple in the city!"

The wedding and ceremony were at "The Ambiance" in Quincy. I saw pictures on-line before we went but nothing prepared me for how beautiful the venue was. It made for an amazing outdoor ceremony and the inside room was gorgeous as well. I loved the fountains, their amazing bar with beautiful up-lit branches on top of it, their head table back-drop, and just everything about it. It was stunning.

While The Ambiance was beautiful - the most unique and fabulous part of the wedding weekend was what happened in between the ceremony and reception....the hot air balloons! The bride's family love hot air ballooning so all of their friends came with their balloons to take the newlyweds and some of the bridal party up for a ride. There were 5 balloons in total and, let me tell ya, it brought out the entire neighborhood to see what was happening in the school playground. I'm sure they had never seen 5 hot air balloons set-up and take off before!

I was amazed at how quickly the crews got the balloons ready to go. I was busy snapping pictures and then, before I knew it, Mama Jackie came up and said "If we find you shoes, will you go??" (I was wearing sandals which are typically a no-no on balloons!) I was stunned and excited and scared and I said...."OKAY!" Then I told her to send a bridal party member or family or something but she was so excited to send me up. We ended up not finding shoes but my pilot said I'd be okay. So, not even 5 minutes after asking - I was in the hot air balloon and up in the air. My hands shook for the first few minutes but then I got more comfortable. I was in the balloon with our pilot and the wedding photographer. We had both brought our cameras so we fumbled around a little bit out of nerves but then we got settled and got some great pics. It's moments like this though that I wish I would have bugged my photographer contacts for more lessons so I actually knew what I was doing!!!!

We went on a 30-minute ride or so - topping out at about 3200 feet. We landed in a huge field and we had a nice, soft landing - I was pleasantly surprised. Later that night, I had a little "christening" of sorts - but I won't say too much because I believe it's a secret ritual. :)

Thank you Jackie and Brett for having us as a part of Devin and Eric's wedding. It was a beautiful, special weekend and I will forever remember my first hot air balloon ride! :)

Also, thanks to my assistants Kati and Katy who stayed on the ground to snap pictures and go get the reception started while I was hanging out in the air! You two are the best and weddings wouldn't be the same without you. Stay tuned for more pics that the girls snapped while I was up in the air!

**Warning: Long Post Ahead!**

Well, as you've probably read - this weekend is a special weekend for So Chic - a double wedding weekend! I usually don't believe in double wedding weekends but I couldn't pass either of these clients up. I would never, ever do 2 weddings in the very same day because I don't know how we'd possibly give the couples our full attention (which is what they deserve), however, a Friday and a Saturday wedding allows us to do both and give them our undivided attention on their wedding day.

Friday's wedding is the wonderful Sarah & Brad. Sarah is the daughter of one my colleagues at Bradley, Dr. Gullifor (more affectionately known as Doc G). I still remember when he told me Sarah "might" be getting engaged, then she had gotten engaged, and then it was time to start planning. From my first consultation with Sarah (and her fabulous mom, Shelley, and wonderful sister, Ali), I knew that we were meant to work together. Our 1-hour consultation at Panera turned into almost 8 hours of venue tours, coffee, wedding dress and maids dress shopping. I feel so privileged to have been there the first time Sarah tried on a wedding dress and Ali tried on bridesmaid dresses. I absolutely cannot wait to see them all dolled up on Friday for the big day. The entire family is beautiful and wonderful inside and out and I feel personally and professionally privileged to be a part of this wedding. Not to be forgotten, I had the opportunity to meet Brad a few months ago doing cake tasting and picking out linens and, boy, is he adorable! They are the sweetest couple and I can feel the love between them. Their wedding day is absolutely just the start to a beautiful future together!

We've got a great line up of vendors for Friday - Reichman Photography, Georgette's Florist, I Do Events, Barrack's and the always fabulous, Gateway Building. It is sure to be a magical day and I can hardly wait for it to get here!

Here are just a few of the WONDERFUL engagement pictures of Brad & Sarah (courtesy of Reichman Photography!) Are they an adorable couple, or what??

Saturday's wedding is Ashley & Tyler. They came to me just about 2 months ago after a rocky relationship with another vendor. I've been so happy to step in and be able to put the pieces together for their big day at the Pere Marquette. They are having a vintage-y type of event and are really playing off of the character and the charm that comes along with the Pere. We'll be working with a lot of new vendors for this wedding - most of them coming in from Galesburg (the bride's hometown). We're excited to work with Wedded Art for the first time and look forward to getting to know them throughout the day. The thing I'm the most excited about? Ashley's dress! I've just seen a few pictures and it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It fits perfectly with the vintage, classic feel and I cannot wait to see it on her. Ashley & Tyler are also a wonderful couple and, as always, we are privileged to be a part of it.

I'll be away from the blog for the next few days - but stay tuned next week for full wedding recaps! Get excited!!!
